What you get

Built for the way Gmail actually works.

The Follow-Up, Already Written

Mavio turns the meeting you just finished into a follow-up email: what was decided, who owns what, and by when. It arrives as a draft in your own Gmail, addressed to the attendees Mavio recognised.

You Are Always The Sender

The draft sits in your Drafts folder until you open it. Edit it, rewrite it, delete it, or press send. Mavio sends only the message it wrote, and only when you tell it to.

Compose-Only Access

Mavio holds the gmail.compose permission, which carries no read access of any kind. It cannot open your inbox, search your mail, read a thread, or delete anything. It can only write.

Ask Eva To Redraft It

Ask Eva for a shorter version, a version for the client rather than the team, or one that leads with the commercial outcome. The draft is regenerated from the meeting, not paraphrased from itself.

Setup

Live in a minute, not a meeting.

01

Connect Gmail

In Mavio, open Settings > Integrations and choose Gmail. Sign in with Google and grant the compose permission. Google will tell you exactly what it covers: writing and sending mail, and nothing else.

02

Draft From A Meeting

Open any finished meeting and choose Draft follow-up email. Mavio composes it from the transcript, summary, and action items, and places it in your Gmail drafts.

03

Review And Send

Open the draft in Gmail, or use Send now in Mavio once you have read it. Nothing leaves your account unreviewed unless you choose to send it.

Gmail + Mavio in detail.

Gmail + Mavio

Most meetings end with someone promising to "send a recap". The Gmail integration is Mavio writing that recap for you, into your own mailbox, so the only work left is reading it.

What Mavio writes

When a meeting finishes, Mavio can compose a follow-up email from what was actually said: the decisions, the action items with owners and dates, and a short summary at the top for anyone who was not there. Attendees Mavio recognised from the calendar event are pre-filled as recipients.

The draft lands in your Gmail Drafts folder. It is an ordinary draft — you can open it on your phone, rewrite half of it, forward it somewhere else, or throw it away.

The permission, precisely

Mavio requests one Gmail scope: gmail.compose. That scope lets an application create drafts and send messages it has composed. It does not grant read access, and Google enforces that at the API rather than leaving it to our good behaviour.

In practice this means:

  • Mavio cannot open your inbox, your sent mail, or any thread.
  • Mavio cannot search your mail or build an index of it.
  • Mavio cannot delete, archive, or label anything.
  • Mavio can write a message, and send the message it wrote.

If you connect Gmail and later change your mind, disconnect it from Settings > Integrations, or revoke it directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Either revokes the token immediately.

Why not just send it automatically?

Because a follow-up email is you talking to your customer, your candidate, or your team, and the cost of one wrong sentence going out under your name is much higher than the cost of reading a draft. Mavio writes; you send. Where a meeting genuinely should fan out without a human in the loop, that is what Slack, Notion, and the CRM integrations are for.

Privacy

Google user data from this integration is used only to compose the email you asked for. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train models. See our full Google data disclosure at mavioapp.com/google-data.
