Mavio + Google Chat.
Post meeting summaries and action items to the Google Chat spaces you choose. Mavio lists your spaces so you can pick one, and never reads their messages.
Built for the way Google Chat actually works.
Summaries Where The Team Already Is
When a meeting ends, the summary, decisions, and action items post to the Google Chat space you chose, so the people who were not on the call read it without opening another tool.
You Pick The Space
Mavio lists the spaces available to you so you can choose a destination per meeting skill — the project space for standups, the deal space for client calls.
Posting Only, Never Reading
Mavio can list your spaces and post into the ones you select. It does not read the messages in them. The read permission it holds covers the list of spaces, not their contents.
Connected Independently
Google Chat is a separate connection from Calendar, Docs, and Gmail. Connecting Chat grants nothing else, and disconnecting it leaves your other Google connections untouched.
Live in a minute, not a meeting.
Connect Google Chat
In Mavio, open Settings > Integrations and choose Google Chat. Sign in with Google and grant access. This connection is separate from any other Google service you have connected.
Choose A Space
Pick the space summaries should post to. Set one default, or a different space per meeting skill so each kind of meeting lands with the right group.
Finish A Meeting
The summary posts automatically when the meeting is processed. Action items arrive with their owners, so the space shows who agreed to what.
What works on day one.
Google Chat + Mavio in detail.
Google Chat + Mavio
For teams on Google Workspace whose day happens in Chat rather than Slack, this is how a meeting reaches the people who were not in it.
What gets posted
When a meeting finishes processing, Mavio posts to the space you chose: a short summary, the decisions, and the action items with their owners. It is the same output the Slack integration delivers, shaped for Chat.
You choose the destination per meeting skill, so standups can land in the project space while client calls land somewhere the account team watches.
The permissions, precisely
Mavio requests two Chat scopes:
chat.spaces.readonly— to list the spaces available to you, so the destination picker has something to show. This is the list of spaces, not their contents.chat.messages.create— to post a message into a space you selected.
There is no scope here that lets Mavio read conversations. It cannot read the messages in a space it posts to, cannot read your direct messages, and cannot edit or delete anyone else's messages.
Google Chat is also a separate OAuth connection from Calendar, Docs, Drive, and Gmail — deliberately, so that connecting Chat does not quietly grant anything else. Each is connected and revoked on its own.
Privacy
Google user data from this integration is used only to list your spaces and post the summaries you asked for. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train models. The full disclosure is at mavioapp.com/google-data.
